True Paradoxes

A method is not wrong because it failed, but it failed because it was wrong altogether all along.

An act is not unacceptable because it hurts a fellow person, but it hurts because it was unacceptable all along.

A principle is not right because it is popular but it is popular because it was right all along.

Let me try to explain what I mean by those paradoxes above;

The rightness or wrongness of a thing does not lie in the fact that it worked or not, but there is an inherent nature that a thing carries. Good things can happen to bad people, we don’t justify their bad deeds because of the good thing that happened to them, no! On the other hand, bad things can happen to good people, we don’t disdain their good deeds because a bad thing had happen to them.

If you’re looking for physical signs to justify or disapprove a thing, you may fall into error; rather find the inherent nature and stay by the good lifestyle.

Good morning this morning.

1. Until you make Biblical standards your personal lifestyle, it will never be possible to obey from the heart. You must personalize Biblical standards.

2. Moderation is freedom from excessiveness or extravagance. Moderation cannot be separated from humility; it is a spiritual virtue.

3. Talkativeness offends God.

4. If one will please sin or the flesh, they must do so in exchange with something precious; sin always covertly demands to take a good thing from the believer.

5. Humility demands that the believer must constantly lay aside things that God hates; those who cannot do so will not grow.
