Till today, many still feel a Christian is not complete without bending to some denominational rules. Yet till today, even with the hundreds of these denominational rules, are we really complete?
Like Luther answered his spiritual mentor *"Man only needs Jesus Christ!"* We will continue to make Jesus a second-hand as long as we extol denominational rules to the same standard or above God’s word. #men will always be men!
There are many today who cannot give straight Biblical counsel, they cannot be "Jesus Only", they cannot be simply scriptures without adding "well, you know this our stand in this church."
Don’t you agree it’s better someone acts based on the pure acknowledgement of Scriptures, instead of "Because my Church allows/disallows it’? Don’t you think that is the actual serving God in "Spirit and Truth?"
If you act based on what your Church allows or disallows, and you hold it in high esteem, let me ask you just two questions, your 2nd answer depends on the 1st;
1. Can your church be ever wrong?
2. If they are wrong what do you do?
I hold that every believer should learn from God, hear from God, and respect all men. I also hold that no man is a slave to any man’s conscience. I hold the third that your salvation is not in what I or that other man tells you but ONLY in what Jesus did at the cross.
[4/6, 6:08 PM] Caleb Damilare Oladejo: If we will truly be Jesus only, then let us be JESUS ONLY #no embellishment!
I will rather give a man ONLY the Bible than give him the Bible + ~any other thing~ !
For no other foundation can man lay than that which is already laid EVEN JESUS CHRIST!
God bless you today
